Terms of Service

last updated August 14, 2026

These terms govern your use of brewkeg (“the service”), a hosted gateway for Claude Code and the Codex CLI, billed in Naira via Paystack. By creating an account you agree to them.

01what brewkeg is

brewkeg routes requests from your existing Claude Code / Codex CLI installation to upstream AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) and meters your usage in Naira. We are an authorized API customer of those upstream providers. We are not reselling subscriptions to them, and we are not modifying Claude Code.

02your account

You need a valid email and a password (at least 8 characters) to register. Authentication is handled by Supabase; we mirror a local row in our Postgres database for billing and key storage. You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys confidential.

We issue you an API key (rc_live_...) on signup. v1 stores the key in plaintext on our side so we can re-display it on the dashboard and re-email it to you. Anyone with the key can spend your credit — treat it like a password.

03pricing and billing

We sell monthly subscriptions and metered top-up credit, priced in Naira. Charges run through Paystack. Current pricing is listed at brewkeg.dev/#pricing and is the authoritative price at the moment you click pay.

  • Subscriptions renew every 30 days. Cancel anytime from the dashboard; we do not pro-rate partial months.
  • Top-up credit is non-recurring. We grant tokens on payment confirmation; unused credit never expires.
  • Refunds: subscription fees are non-refundable once charged. Top-up credit may be refunded within 7 days if the credit is unused and the request is sent to hi@brewkeg.dev.

04upstream availability

The service depends on Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google remaining reachable and accepting API traffic. We do our best to fail over across providers, but upstream outages, rate limits, or policy changes may cause degradation. We do not guarantee a specific model, latency, or uptime against any single upstream.

05acceptable use

You agree not to use brewkeg to:

  • Generate content that is unlawful where you live or that targets unlawful harm (fraud, exploitation, CSAM, terrorism, etc.).
  • Spam, phish, scrape, or otherwise abuse the upstream providers’ terms.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source of brewkeg or the upstream providers.
  • Resell access without written permission.
  • Probe, scan, or load-test the service beyond normal personal use.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice, and may report illegal activity to relevant authorities.

06your content

You own the prompts and outputs you generate through brewkeg. We log metadata (timestamp, model, token counts, request id) for billing, quota, and abuse detection. We do log the prompt bodies and the response bodies on a small sample of requests — see Privacy Policy for the retention window and how to opt out.

07termination

You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We delete your account row, API keys, subscriptions, and usage events within 30 days; we keep financial records (Paystack transaction ids, no card data) for the period required by Nigerian law.

We can suspend or terminate the service or your account with 30 days’ notice, or immediately for cause (non-payment, abuse, illegal use). On termination we refund pro-rated unused subscription fees; top-up credit is non-refundable once granted.

08warranty and liability

The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is capped at the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data.

09changes

We may update these terms. Material changes get 14 days’ notice by email; non-material changes (typos, clarifications) take effect immediately on this page. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.

10governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes that can’t be resolved informally are heard in the courts of Lagos State.
